FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A Free Virtual Educational Event for Veterans Curious about Cannabis
DENVER, NOVEMBER 15, 2020 — In the last decade, cannabis legalization has swept across the country like a tidal wave and the fastest growing demographic of consumers are the aging population and veterans. With every piece of legislation comes an ever growing body of research and data – and curious consumers. It’s time to end the stigma and bring them together. During the interactive event on November 19, 2020 from 4pm to 7pm MT, Leaf 411 will provide a plethora of cannabis information for veterans and their families.
Cannabis has been able to offer veterans relief incomparable to alternatives, but using cannabis as plant medicine can be confusing. Considering a half-century of anti-cannabis propaganda, AKA “Reefer Madness” – these new curious consumers are rightfully seeking valuable educational opportunities. Navigating cannabis medicine as a veteran deserves some guidance. Leaf 411 and their sponsors have dedicated themselves to sharing cannabis education with the veteran community. This FREE virtual event will also include ways to become involved or donate to specific veteran’s organizations that support cannabis.
Leaf Learning Series – Supporting Veteran’s virtual event will include:
● A Review of Public Service Programs
● Veteran Patient Panels & Discussions
● A Grow House Tour
Though there’s no hard data to support cannabis as a remedy for PTSD, many veterans swear by it. It is a cultural shift that has as much to do with the current anxiety engendered by the coronavirus crisis (which has spiked cannabis sales) as it does with the different sorts of pain veterans experience. Our veterans deserve to have the discussion about cannabis use and safety. In order to provide that opportunity, we need you to write about, talk about, and share this event.
